How do I create a sub-gravel filter in my aquarium?
My tank is 50 liters (13 gal). I need to create a sub filter gravel, because the internal filter does not do a good job. But I do not know how to configure and Is it possible to implement in a tank already in place? how much gravel should I set?
A filter is in one of the best methods to reduce and eliminate ammonia from a tank fish. Once it is established, there is almost no problem. The only bad thing is that it must be put in place while the tank is empty. You put in the gravel platform (s) ground storage tanks and insert the bare bubble tube (s). Then you add your gravel on the platforms. You must use different sizes of gravel, wide on the bottom and spend three or four small sizes on the next levels on the rise. This will ensure the filter is clogged with rotten food and feces. The best thing to do is put a power head on the bubble tube (s). This will greatly increase the flow of water and the filter function of your natural bio filter (under gravel filter). You should also always use a filter feeding externally attached to the rear or side of the tank with filtration and water clarification. A filter of the turbine Bio is the best type to use alone or with you under gravel filter. Setting up your tank with under gravel filter with power heads and an external bio filter wheel to allow you to add more fish than your tank normally handle, and keep your tank cleaner and healthier.
