how do I replace a vacuum cleaner cord?

I have a Dirt Devil vacuum vibe and my dog chew through the cord, the cord can be replaced? And how do u replace it?

Warning: Consult your electrician. Make sure it is disconnected from the power source. You can either splice the power cord. This means getting a new spinal hardware (or the recovery of a cord of good machine spent, try Army Hi). Splicing means removing the outer plastic coating of rubber-all son for about four to six inches. Take one of the son of emptiness and twist like a snake around the wire cord again. Do the same with the other. Use electrical tape to cover the son - separately now. You want the son to always remain separate.
