Animal Asthma
We got 3 ferrets last night, have many animals they could be causeing my son asthma to flare up?
We have 5 mouse, 2 rats, 4 gerbils and iguanas, a pig Gunia, bird, fish and none of which caused her wheezing. We've got the ferret (which are adorable btw) last night and he spent most of last night wheezing, not too bad, but serious enough to justify the inhaler few occasions. And why ferrets cause asthma to act when no other hair / scales / Pets have feathery? About bedding, I use pine with small animals and bought the smell of non-recycled paper for ferrets. Cats do not put off the dogs and longhaired (Hense why not if we NONT Id love to have a dog), I am allegic cats as well as allergies to animals are in the family.
It could be allergic to ferrets in general, perhaps? What type of bedding you use for your other pets, and what kind of bedding for ferrets? Ferrets have a much stronger musky smell, but I do not think that alone could trigger asthma. Usually it is the dander, animal fur or bedding it does. Ferrets would be more like a cat or dog because of their size and fur, and you did not list those, then maybe that's it. (Extraordinary mice and rats if I have 12 mice and 2 rats myself)
