Dyson Dc14 Upright

Posted in Vacuum Cleaner by admin on September 30, 2011

Our Dyson DC14 won't stay upright?

To start it, you have to put your foot on the front & tip back the upright handle. When done, you click it back into place. Our problem is that it won't click back into place. Unless we lean it against something, the handle falls back.
I've checked everything that I can see. Has anyone got any brilliant tips please and so make my weekend a happy one?!! ;0)
I've now found the solution, thanks to http://www.ehow.co.uk/how_6174789_fix-dyson-dc14.html

1 Hold the handle of the vacuum at roughly a 45-degree angle.

2 Find and remove the airway inspection valve (at the base of the handle when looking at vacuum from the back).

3
Note the square molding that is revealed when the valve is removed and snap it upward (toward the ceiling).

4 Replace the airway inspection valve. The unit should stand upright again.
